Right away, she begins by asking each of the girls about their feelings for Kaoru and is dismayed by their lack of any straightforward answer. She's the newest member of the household, and the one that begins causing the most trouble. Fate starts us off with a quick introduction of Chika. Though the young girl has just begun high school she plays the role of the child character, stirring up emotions and asking the other characters the obvious questions we, as the viewers, have been dying to ask. The place has become a veritable harem, and things do not get any better now that Taeko's younger cousin, Chika, has moved in with them. It's been two years since the conclusion of those events in the first series and Aoi and Kaoru continue to live on in that house. In the first series, we learned all about our leading pair how they met when they were children, Kaoru's history with the Hanabishi family, and Aoi's life as she lived with the sole goal of becoming Kaoru's wife someday down the line. That series came and went and left several questions unanswered and a conclusion with little closure. A true blue love is what we were given in Ai Yori Aoshi.
